The name Big Family Movers recognizes and celebrates the connection we all share. The better care we take of each other -- and ourselves -- the farther we progress. The elephants in our logo represent the principals of unity and dignity that we try to embody.

We do what we are supposed to do every day: show up on time, motivated and equipped to work. We have used sweat, blood, and good humor to develop a strong customer base and a reputation for efficiency, integrity and no quit. Our goal is to make this complex process as straight-forward as possible. BFM is not trying to be the fastest -- or the cheapest -- moving company. We want to do consistently excellent work.

Specifically, Big Family Movers was established in 2001 with two twenty-something movers and a teen-aged truck. Eight years and nearly 1800 jobs later, we are all still working well together and have been fortified by another truck and more good folks –- most of them younger. We are licensed, insured and independent movers specializing in, but not limited to, residential moves. And we are all from Oakland.
